The Celts grabbed the W in their first tournament game v. Central Crossing High School. The first 35 minutes of the game were back in forth with no result until senior, Emma Sears, punched one away off of assist from sophomore, Kirsten Mitchell with 5 left to play in the first. The second goal was finished by Kirsten Mitchell off of Riley Mullady’s corner kick with just 6 seconds left on the first half game clock. The Celts came out stronger in the second half, doubling their score with bent in corner by Junior, Riley Mullady 32 minutes into the half followed by a quick pass from senior, Bailee Bowers, that was tapped in again by Emma Sears with just over 4 minutes left to play. The Celts will advance to the District Semifinal match next week. Celts team stats include 29 shots on goal, 10 corner kicks, and 1 save for junior GK, Natalie Coontz. Crossing keeper, Brittany Hanson, had a great game with 18 saves. Central Crossing had one corner kick and 0 shots on goal. Go Celts!
