Tough lost for the lady Celts against Granville’s Blue Aces. Starting in the first half, Lady Aces Lyndy Van Horn scores off of an assist from Ella Hoover(11). Soon after Granville Sophmore, Ella Rogers scored off of a pass from Karah Van Horn in the 21st minute. After two goal deficit, the Sophia Penegor scores in the 29th minute for the Lady Celtics. Not long after Granville’s Lyndy Van Horn scores from a pass from her sister Karah Van Horn (33). Right before the end of the first half, Nicole Ogden scores for the Celts , to make the score at half 2-3 (38). After a tough fight in the first half, the Lady Celts came into the second half ready to fight. In the 10th minute of the second half Karah Van Horn scores for the Lady Aces(50). Soon after, Ella Rogers scores her second goal for the Lady Aces, putting Granville at a 5–2 lead(52). The Celts were not ready to give up, and Sophia Penegor scored again in the 59th minute of the game. 2 minutes later, Nicole Ogden scored again for the Celts, making the score 4-5 Granville. Ending the second half, Granville’s Karah, and Lyndy Van Horn both scored, making the final score 7-4 (78th and 81st minute. The Lady Celts put up a tough fight, but fell to Granville’s Lady Aces 7-4. Sophomore Goalkeeper Jaylee Strickland, made a total of 18 saves. Go Celts!
